The Club has obtained an APRA Licence for this event to cover the club bands. If your band plays at any other time or venue it is the responsibility of the band and its members to do so according to APRA Guidelines and Expectations of copyright material.
Set Times: The EMU have not had any serious discussions on set lengths (playing time) yet, given that we don’t know how many bands will register, but once band registrations close the EMU will be able to make decisions and advise accordingly.
Woodstock Theme: While the Riverstocks of previous years had promoted a theme relating to bands and music of the Woodstock Festival, we are not proposing that bands follow any theme or genre etc. However, if a band wants to pursue new material for the event, you are certainly free to do so.
The venue has a capacity of over 200 people, indoors with a stage, bar, and kitchen facilities, along with areas for caravans and camping if you would like to stay, about 1 1/2 hours from CBD, up through the Northern Motorway, turn of at Nuriootpa and thru Angaston to Sedan or via the South East Freeway and turn for Murray Bridge/Mannum.
All catering and drinks will be provided by The Old Barn. They have a full working kitchen and bar facilities.
The Liqour Licence for this event requires a close of from bar sales at 11:45pm however drinks can be purchased ahead to satisfy your quench.
A video camera is focused on the stage to broadcast to 2 TV screens at all times around the venue so that you shouldn’t miss a thing.
The property has 15 hectares of land and away from Sedan so noise and lateness won’t be a problem.
Unpowered camping sites are available for a small fee adjacent to the venue if required. Camping is for any time from the Friday 23rd through to Sunday 25th. Breakfast on Sunday morning will also be available for purchase.
There may be accommodation at the Sedan Hotel, or even Mannum or Angaston like AirBnBs, and probably good to look at a house share if you don’t want to drive back.
Toilets: Additional Portable Toilets will be delivered to the venue for the weekend.
Fires: No camp or other fires permitted except the Venues own Firepit at the entrance to the building. Fire wood will be provided by the Club for this purpose.
All Members should be willing to provide assistance in the running of the event at any or all times eg gate, door, etc even they do a swap over/take turns.
COVID-19: This gig has easy-to-follow requirements relating to hygiene and social distancing. There will be trained Covid Marshalls from both the Club and the Venue, on hand to give people polite and cheerful reminders about following the protocols.
